Sales tax pause at Brookridge shopping district near I-435 and Antioch
Council will vote on an ordinance stopping the special sales tax collected at the Brookridge Community Improvement District, near I-435 and Antioch, starting October 1, 2026. The tax would then start being collected again on October 1, 2029.
Why it matters: Shoppers at that specific commercial area will pay a lower sales tax rate for about three years before it returns to its current level.
